The best way to make sure you will get your workout in tomorrow is to prepare for it today. I work out at a gym after work. I don’t go home first, because I know that may prevent me from making it to the gym. You know the story. I’ll go home and get dressed, but first, let me grab a snack and put a load in the wash. In the end, I never make it to the gym because I’ve lost my momentum or run out of time. When I go home first, I negotiate with myself. I’ll do my workout, but first, I’ll do some housework. I won’t go to the gym today, but I can go tomorrow. To prevent this from happening, I pack a bag with workout clothes that make me feel like a boss. My outfit matches, and my sports bra is supportive. No room for the excuse that I can’t do cardio because the girls aren’t properly harnessed. My sneakers are comfortable and they look trendy. I want to look and feel like a badass when I hit the gym. Looking the part makes me feel better, and when I feel better, I’m more apt to kill it at the gym.
Getting my gear together the night before makes my morning easier. It also ensures that I pick the outfit that makes me feel like a workout queen.
