Why am I telling you to drink water? Water is the fluid that lubricates our entire system and keeps us healthy and vibrant. When you are dehydrated you are setting yourself up to feel cruddy and look aged! Here are some signs of dehydration:
- Low energy, fatigue, and loss of strength and endurance
- Cravings. That’s right, many times the signs for hunger can really indicate that you are just really thirsty
- Headaches and foggy memory
- Dark urine
- Low blood pressure
- Rapid heart rate
How to Drink Water More Often
Most people think they drink enough water, but in fact they are not drinking enough throughout the day. Here are some creative ways to increase water consumption.
- Drink 1-2 glasses of water first thing in the morning
- Keep a pitcher (or jug) filled with filtered water for you to drink throughout the day in your fridge or at your desk at work
- Drink a bottle of water before exercise
- Sip water throughout your exercise
- Keep glass bottles of water in your car, at the office, by your bed, everywhere you go!
- If you despise water or just find it boring, add slices of fresh lemon, orange, cucumber, or fresh mint
