Who doesn’t love hummus?  The problem with store-bought, as with most things, is it can be loaded with preservatives and added ingredients that are not good for your whole health.  Making hummus at home doesn’t have to be a chore.  It can take less than 10 minutes to prep and keep for the week or make in bulk for a party!

Ingredients:

• 2 cups canned chickpeas
• 1/3 cup tahini paste
• 6 Tbs. lemon juice
• 1 tsp. kosher salt
• 3 garlic cloves
• few dashes of hot sauce (optional)

Directions:
• Mince garlic in a food processor. Add the rest of the ingredients until processed and the humus is pureed. Serve chilled or room temperature.
